United’s Sunday opponents Everton have suffered a double injury blow for this weekend.
Former United star Morgan Schneiderlin has been ruled out along with Theo Walcott.
Both players started for Everton in their 3-1 win over Chelsea last weekend under Duncan Ferguson.
The Toffees caretaker boss told the Everton website he was disappointed by the injury news.
Duncan Ferguson said: “It’s very disappointing, considering how well they played [against Chelsea] – Theo on the counter-attack and Morgan covering the space in front of the back four.
“It’s a blow but we move on.”

Familiar faces
United paid £25 million to sign Schneiderlin in 2015 under Louis van Gaal before selling him to Everton for £24 million two years later.
It has proved pretty decent business for United, with the Frenchman continuing his underwhelming Old Trafford performances at Goodison.
His recent display against Chelsea showed a glimpse he could get back to his best, so this latest injury is good timing for us.
Theo Walcott is also a player United know well from various battles with Arsenal through the years.
He scored against us in the 4-0 win at Goodison last season, while Schneiderlin also started that game. The less resemblance this fixture bears to that one, the better.
Everton have problems in midfield with Andre Gomes a long term absentee and Fabian Delph also battling to be passed fit.
This is good news for United’s in form midfield duo Scott McTominay and Fred who will be looking to kick on after strong showings in wins over Tottenham and Manchester City.
