Wolves ace Matheus Cunha dropped a powerful reaction after the Manchester United signing’s superb display for Brazil during the World Cup qualifier against Paraguay.

Matheus Cunha will leave the Molineux this summer and the 26-year-old Brazilian attacker is set to represent Manchester United in the 2025-26 campaign.

United signed Cunha earlier this month after the Red Devils triggered the £62.5m release clause in the Brazil international’s Wolves contract.

Cunha will ink a five-year deal at United and his move to Old Trafford will be finalised once his visa and registration requirements are completed.

The Wolves star is Ruben Amorim’s first major signing of the summer transfer window and Cunha had emerged as a top target for United in recent months.

Cunha has been away from the Molineux in June after the United summer signing was called up for international duty with the Brazil national team.

Matheus Cunha makes his feelings clear after his Brazil assist vs Paraguay in the World Cup qualifier

Brazil punched their ticket to the 2026 World Cup in North America after the five-time world champions defeated Paraguay 1-0 in their qualifier on Wednesday.

Carlo Ancelotti, who left Real Madrid to become Brazil manager in May, deployed Matheus Cunha in attack and played him behind Los Blancos winger Vinicius Junior.

Cunha had a major impact for Brazil at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo after he set up Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior for the first-half opener against Paraguay.

Brazil held on to their advantage in the second half and Carlo Ancelotti’s men sealed all three points and ensured their place at the next World Cup tournament.

Cunha played 79 minutes at the Arena Corinthians before Brazil manager Ancelotti hooked off the Manchester United summer signing for Flamengo midfielder Gerson.

The Brazil international took to social media after his side’s 1-0 World Cup qualifying win in Sao Paulo and Cunha marked a high point for ending off his “season.”

“Classified, home and with our people,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Great game by all and a great ending to the season… [Brazil] Off to Saint John [Day party] [sic].”

Cunha was on international duty for Brazil’s two World Cup qualifiers in June alongside his soon-to-be United teammates Casemiro and Antony.

The United signing featured in the World Cup qualifying clash against Ecuador last Friday, which was Carlo Ancelotti’s first match in charge of the Brazil national team.

Cunha came off the bench for Brazil in the second half of the 0-0 draw and replaced Tottenham forward Richarlison at the Estadio Monumental.

The Brazil forward’s impact against Paraguay already has United fans licking their lips at the prospect of seeing him play under Ruben Amorim next season.
