Matheus Cunha scored the opening goal for Manchester United against Liverpool and was a key player in the victory at Old Trafford.
The 3-2 win over Liverpool on Sunday started with a Matheus Cunha goal, and it extended the Brazilian’s incredible goal record against big clubs.
Manchester United fans were blown away by Cunha’s performance, and it was made even more impressive by the fact that he had only just come back from a hip injury.
Cunha missed the Brentford win while recovering, and a bizarre report from ESPN Brazil claims that the Brazil national team wants United to rest their No.10 for the final three Premier League matches so he can fully recover and be fit for the World Cup.

The report claims there is an “agreement” between United and the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) to be “cautious” about Cunha’s minutes on the pitch.
But it seems this is news to Cunha…
Via Instagram, United’s No.10 shared a photo of him celebrating at Old Trafford, captioned with one word and a laughing emoji: “What?”
Cunha’s story appears to be in response to the Brazilian reports claiming he might play a reduced part in the final three league games of the season.
