Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has offered an update on Marcus Rashford’s fitness ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Villarreal.
Rashford will not be fit to take part in the match against Unai Emery’s side, but did train alone ahead of the game.
Solskjaer said that Rashford and fellow winger Amad could well be ready after the international break.

“They’re still a few weeks away so, hopefully after the international break, they could be available,” Ole said to the club website about Rashford and Amad.
“They’re working hard, both of them positive, and it’s been a long, long time for Marcus of course.
“Probably the longest he’s been out but he’s needed it.
“He looks raring to go, happy and he knows he’s missed out on pre-season, but he’s done loads of good conditioning work and should be ready soon.”
In the wake of that update, Rashford sent a social media message to United fans.
He said he’s stepping up his recovery and it seems he’s on course for a mid-October return.
Rashford said earlier this week that he has an consultation on Friday and if that goes to plan, he’ll be able to return to light contact training afterwards.
The international break should give him an opportunity to train continuously next month, and there’s no doubt he’ll benefit for the rest having been played through injuries for much of the past two seasons.
