Manchester United have received a triple fitness boost ahead of the weekend clash with Brentford.

Like it or not, Manchester United are back in action this weekend, ready to test the nerve and mood of supporters worldwide.

While sometimes it seems no matter which players Erik ten Hag has out on the pitch, the team play like strangers, it is always better to have a fully fit squad than an injury riddled one.

We broke down earlier this week how many Manchester United players are battling fitness issues ahead of the upcoming match with Brentford, and these injuries may be clearing up a little.

Amad, Garnacho, Mazraoui return

Manchester United have received a triple boost with Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui returning to training, the club confirmed.

Garnacho and Amad pulled out of international duty, citing minor issues, and there was always hope they would make swift returns.

Mazraoui had to undergo a minor procedure on a heart issue, leading many to wonder how many games he may miss, despite it being played down as a non-serious dilemma.

Now with the Moroccan back in training at Carrington, there is real hope he will be back to continue his impressive start to the season.

United are light at the full-back positions, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia still out.

It is a positive surprise to see Mazraoui back so soon. But there is some frustrating news.

Kobbie Mainoo out

There is bad news to go along with the good. Kobbie Mainoo faces a spell on the sidelines.

The statement claims Mainoo is set to be ‘out for a few weeks’ along with Harry Maguire.

This raises questions over United’s handling of Mainoo’s injury sustained against Tottenham, which saw him start against Aston Villa days later.

Meanwhile Manuel Ugarte underwent a ‘recovery session’ after picking up a knock on duty for Uruguay.

Mason Mount is said to be making good progress in his return to fitness, but may not be ready for the weekend despite suggestions he might.
