The second international break of the season is upon us but more and more Manchester United players are dropping out of action.
Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Aston Villa has done little to answer the questions surrounding Erik ten Hag’s future as Manchester United boss.
Ineos have been discussing Ten Hag’s future this week and the Dutchman looks set to continue as United boss for the foreseeable future.
Ten Hag needs to come up with some answers during his international break though with United preparing to take on Brentford next weekend.
The United boss will also be hoping for all of his players to come back to Manchester unscathed, but the number of players actually in action for their countries is dwindling.

Manchester United ace flies home from international duty
A number of United players have pulled out of international duty for injury reasons and another can be added to the list.
Sport Ivoire over in the Ivory Coast report that Amad Diallo has withdrawn from international duty.
Amad had been called up to the Ivory Coast squad for two games against Sierra Leone over the next week.
However, Amad is now believed to be out of the squad on injury grounds and has already flown back to Manchester United.
United’s medical staff intend to assess Amad and Ivory Coast have chosen not to replace him in the squad as things stand.
Amad has picked up six caps for the Ivory Coast, bagging one goal in the process.
The 22-year-old earned a first cap at the age of just 18 but has only earned three caps since the end of 2021.
United will hope to have Amad fit and available to face Brentford and a period of rest may well help the winger.
Amad Diallo joins injured list
Amad’s withdrawal is just the latest in a long line of United injury news in recent days.
News earlier this week confirmed that both Noussair Mazraoui and Kobbie Mainoo have pulled out of international duty with Morocco and England respectively.
The pair appear to be nursing knocks and the same goes for Alejandro Garnacho.
The United winger has pulled out of the Argentina squad this week due to a knee problem.
Harry Maguire wore a protective boot after Sunday’s draw at Aston Villa but hasn’t been included in the England squad anyway.
United will hope that none of these problems are serious with Ten Hag certainly needing everybody fit and firing against Brentford.
