Manchester United are among three Premier League clubs exploring a move for PSG and Senegal winger Ibrahim Mbaye, United in Focus understands.

United in Focus has been exclusively told by transfer expert Ekrem Konur that Manchester United, alongside Tottenham and Aston Villa, are exploring a move for 18-year-old Ibrahim Mbaye.

Konur has revealed that “Manchester United are exploring ways to integrate Mbaye into their medium‑term squad plans” with Premier League clubs already preparing offers for the PSG star.

Mbaye, who made 31 appearances for PSG in 2025/26, is open to taking the next step in his career and is eager for more regular playing time.

Man United keeping tabs on Ibrahim Mbaye

Konur has made it clear that PSG are willing to consider bids close to €35 million (£30 million) this summer for Mbaye.

He adds that Premier League clubs are preparing offers in the region of €25 million to test PSG’s stance.

United’s interest in Mbaye is a continuation of Ineos scouring the market for winger options, with Michael Carrick making it clear last season that United want a left winger to strengthen the squad for 2026/27.

Mbaye is capable of playing on the left and right wing, while he has also played in an attacking midfield role for PSG last season.

Konur claims Mbaye’s representatives are trying to convince him to remain in Paris, but a move to the Premier League this summer is a “highly realistic scenario” because of the player’s ambition to play regularly.

Man United enter another transfer race with Tottenham

Already this season, Tottenham have beaten United to Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, with the North London club spending a combined £185 million on their signatures.

Now, Konur says that Tottenham view Mbaye as a “dynamic option” to add to their attacking ranks this summer.
