Manchester United are in the midst of managerial uncertainty after sacking Ruben Amorim, and Ineos seem to have already changed course.
Darren Fletcher was named interim manager for the game against Burnley, which ended up being an encouraging 2-2 draw with plenty of positives.
Fletcher confirmed after the game that he is set to remain in charge for the FA Cup game against Brighton as well.
What should Darren Fletcher change for the next game, and what should he keep the same?
Darren Fletcher says he will take charge of Man Utd vs Brighton
It has now emerged that Ineos‘ managerial plans for Man Utd have already changed due to Fletcher, as talks continue in the background with multiple candidates.

Darren Fletcher prompts Man Utd plan change
Fletcher was drafted in as an emergency presence in the dugout in the aftermath of Amorim’s shock sacking, something he wasn’t comfortable with, but he has a pedigree.
Fletcher’s style of play and tactics with the U18s are a throwback to the best United sides, and shades of it were visible against Burnley.
Once the players got used to the system after a tricky opening 20 minutes, United grew into the game, and by the full-time whistle, Burnley were barely hanging on.
The transformation in mood after less than two days of work on the training ground seems to have impressed Ineos.
Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports reports that Ineos have shelved their scheduled “urgent” talks with interim candidates Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick.
Fletcher has made a great impression in his few days on the job, and it is allowing Ineos to be ‘patient’, changing course from their initial plan of installing a caretaker as soon as possible.
Ineos need to commit to a direction
In theory, Ineos making dynamic decisions in a fluid situation looks good, but considering their track record, Man Utd fans will be forgiven for considering this as a sign of confusion instead.
With the league table as closely clustered as it is, United cannot afford to go game-by-game, not knowing who will manage which fixture.
What is your honest opinion of Jason Wilcox and his role as director of football?
Fletcher might be deserving of the role until the end of the season, but if that’s the case, they need to make it clear how many games he gets to impress.
If that’s not the case, then a good debut game shouldn’t sway their plans in the name of patience, because the days of patience were over when they sacked Amorim.
United need clarity in their managerial situation as soon as possible, and constantly chopping and changing plans does nobody any favours.
