Gabriele Biancheri’s brilliant form for Manchester United’s Under-21s could result in a prestigious award.

The Red Devils have an exciting group of youth players on the brink of a first-team breakthrough, and none are more exciting than 19-year-old Gabriele Biancheri.

Biancheri deserves a first-team promotion from Ruben Amorim as his form in the Under-21s is proving he is ready for senior football.

In a recent youth match against Tottenham, Biancheri scored a hat-trick in a dominant 4-1 victory. The other goal was scored by summer signing Diego Leon.

Biancheri is competing with Chido Obi at youth level, and his four goals in seven Premier League 2 matches this season proves he is ready for a step up.

Gabriele Biancheri nominated for Player of the Month

Earlier this week, Bryan Mbeumo was named Player of the Month in the Premier League, while Amorim scooped the equivalent manager award.

Who is your dream Manchester United signing in 2026?

It capped off what was a brilliant October for the Red Devils, and it was also an extremely successful month for young Biancheri.

The Premier League Football Development Panel has now released a list of eight nominees for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month, and Biancheri is among those shortlisted.

With three goals and one assist against Tottenham, the Wales U21 international stands a good chance of winning the award.

Gabriele Biancheri can follow Declan Rice and Phil Foden

Biancheri now has a chance to follow in the footsteps of Premier League greats by getting his hands on the Player of the Month award.

Former Red Devils star Alejandro Garnacho was previously nominated for the award in 2022, and as per the Premier League, Manchester City’s Phil Foden won the PL2 Player of the Month in 2017, just a few months after Rice picked it up as a West Ham youth player.

Given that United’s fixtures are set to ramp up after the November international break, Biancheri will be knocking on Amorim’s door for a first-team breakthrough.

United decided against loaning Biancheri, so it would be a huge show of faith if he was included in a matchday squad in the following months.
