Manchester United see an unwelcome face refereeing the Premier League fixture with Leicester City.
Manchester United take on Leicester City in the final game of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s interim spell in charge.
United also took on Leicester in Van Nistelrooy’s opening game, after Erik ten Hag’s sacking, winning 5-2 in the Carabao Cup.
A repeat result would be very welcome, but United fans will rightly be nervous upon learning who the official is for the fixture.

Peter Bankes will referee
The referee for Manchester United’s fixture at Old Trafford against Leicester City is set to be Peter Bankes.
Bankes was the VAR official who sanctioned Bruno Fernandes’ red card against Tottenham Hotspur just over a month ago.
Chris Kavanagh issued a red card instantly, before checking the incident with VAR. The replays clearly showed that Fernandes had slipped, and not intended to hurt James Maddison.
Bankes on VAR chose not to overturn the decision, leaving Manchester United with 10 men for the final 50 minutes of the game, a 3-0 defeat.
Manchester United appealed and overturned the red card, avoiding a suspension for Fernandes. The Premier League admitted they were wrong.
Howard Webb also issued an apology for the officiating, with audio released from the VAR room.
The Premier League did not take action against Bankes, instead making him referee for another fixture the following week.
Now, Bankes is incredibly set to referee a Manchester United fixture at Old Trafford, with United taking on Leicester.
United without Darren Fletcher
Van Nistelrooy will be without one member of United’s coaching staff, Darren Fletcher.
Fletcher is serving a three-game ban, for ranting at officials following another incident, when Manchester United played Brentford.
It may be just as well he is not on the sidelines. Fletcher was said to have been enraged by Fernandes’ sending off against Tottenham, and stormed through the press box while expressing his annoyance.
