Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo picked out Portugal and Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes among the three best players he has ever crossed paths with on the pitch.
Bruno Fernandes is widely regarded as one of Manchester United’s best signings since Sir Alex Ferguson bowed out of Old Trafford as Red Devils boss in 2013.
The 31-year-old Portuguese midfielder has netted an impressive 107 times and registered 108 assists in 327 matches for Man Utd since his 2020 transfer.
Fernandes, who is away at this summer’s World Cup with Portugal, has lifted both the League Cup and the FA Cup during his prolific spell at the Red Devils.

Bruno Fernandes’ stunning influence in the Manchester United first-team squad saw the Red Devils skipper enjoy an impactful second half of the 2025-26 campaign.
The Portugal international broke the Premier League assist record for a single season on the final day of the campaign in United’s 3-0 win over Brighton in May.
Speaking to the SPORTD TikTok page, Amad Diallo was asked to name the three best players that he has come across in his playing career to date.
The 23-year-old Red Devils attacker singled out Man Utd captain Fernandes, while Amad also picked winger Patrick Roberts from his loan spell at Sunderland.
“I play with many good players,” he said.
“I just have to say one? Bruno Fernandes. Patrick Roberts.”

Alongside his admiration for both Fernandes and former Sunderland winger Patrick Roberts, Amad turned his attention back to his playing days at Atalanta.
Amad admitted that former Atalanta star Josip Ilicic caught his eye at the Serie A club and waxed lyrical about the 38-year-old former Slovenia international.
“Ilicic,” he added.
“He’s one of the best players in my life. Honestly.”
Josip Ilicic left Atalanta in 2022 and signed for Slovenian side Maribor, while Roberts made his permanent exit from Sunderland in 2026 and moved to Birmingham City.
