England star Luke Shaw has singled out two key Manchester United first-team players after his impressive 2025-26 Premier League campaign at Old Trafford.
Luke Shaw enjoyed a strong injury-free season at the Premier League club and the 30-year-old defender managed to start all 38 of the Red Devils’ league matches.
The Manchester United ace showed his versatility by playing both as a left-sided centre-back under Ruben Amorim and as a left-back under Michael Carrick.
Despite his resurgence in form at Old Trafford, Shaw was unable to climb back into the England national team for this summer’s World Cup in North America.

Man Utd left-back Luke Shaw makes an admission about teammates Noussair Mazraoui and Harry Maguire
Luke Shaw is expected to continue playing a key role under Manchester United legend Michael Carrick in the 2026-27 campaign after last season’s success.
The veteran Man Utd left-back, who first arrived at Old Trafford in 2014 from Southampton, is still under contract with the Premier League side until 2027.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official magazine, Three Lions ace Shaw was asked if he sits next to the same player every single time in the Red Devils dressing room.
The ex-Southampton talent said that he has found himself around Harry Maguire quite often, but he has also been spending a lot of time with Noussair Mazraoui.
“It does change every now and then,” he explained, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“Not always. A lot of the time, I’m next to Harry [Maguire], and Nousy [Noussair Mazraoui] has been on my other side a lot at the moment. Those two, I’ve been next to them for quite a bit.”

England defender Luke Shaw sends a message to Man Utd fans after his 12-year experience at Old Trafford
Shaw, who has lifted the Europa League trophy, two League Cups and an FA Cup, admitted that he was blown away by the support of United fans at Old Trafford last season.
“Yeah, it’s amazing,” he said.
“I touched on their support earlier; they’re unbelievable, I think, home and away. Of course, there’s always a special feeling at home, especially more this season with the flags and stuff.
“They bring so much passion and energy, and it really flies through us. We can feel it and it helps us a lot when we’re on the pitch.”
Shaw has made 325 appearances for the Red Devils and has netted five times and registered 30 assists since his initial £27m move from Southampton in 2014.
