Manchester United fans have made their feelings perfectly clear after Amad Diallo broke his silence over the main reason for deactivating his social media accounts.
Amad Diallo, who spent last season out on loan at Sunderland, has struggled to secure regular first-team minutes in the current campaign at Manchester United.
The 21-year-old Ivorian winger missed the start of the current season due to a knee injury he picked up during the club’s pre-season win over Arsenal last summer.
Diallo returned before the end of 2023 and impressed with his cameo appearance against Nottingham Forest in the 2-1 Premier League defeat at City Ground.
However, the United wonderkid has only made two appearances for the Red Devils across all competitions since the start of 2024.
Diallo had been linked with a potential move away from Old Trafford in January, but the United player remained at the club to fight for his place in the first team.
United manager Erik ten Hag used Diallo as a substitute in the 1-0 FA Cup win against Nottingham Forest last month and 2-1 Premier League defeat to Fulham.

Man Utd star Diallo deactivates accounts
Amad Diallo has only managed three appearances across all competitions this season, with Manchester United fans keen for Erik ten Hag to offer him a chance.
The Ivory Coast international appeared to purge all United-related posts from his social media accounts, which fuelled further suspicion for fans over his future.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has since shared an update from Diallo, who claimed that he deleted his accounts to “focus on Ramadan.”
“I’ve deactivated my social media for a month just to focus on Ramadan,” he said, as per Romano on X.
“Stop the hatred, there’s nothing wrong with what I did. It’s [a] holy month for me and social media is a place where there are bad things to see during fasting.”
Man Utd fans react to Diallo
United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, staunchly defended Diallo after he broke his silence over his decision to delete his accounts.
Red Devils supporters called out those who were attacking him, while others claimed that there was a “sensible [and] reasonable” reason behind Diallo’s actions.
“Amad Diallo is a good kid who bothers no-one and this fan base attacked him last night without any facts. Embarrassing,” one fan said.
Another added: “Amad Diallo has been equally valid and petulant in his actions. No way he should be getting less minutes than Antony and [Omari] Forson.”
“Amad Diallo deserves better,” a third wrote.
Someone else commented: “The treatment of Amad Diallo might be what’s frustrating me the most currently at United… we are in the market for a RW but aren’t giving the best one at the club an opportunity… illogical.”
While a fifth tweeted: “Ah, so Amad Diallo did it because he wants to focus on Ramadan, thank God it ain’t the [Jadon] Sancho way.”
And a sixth posted: “Can some of you y’all see how [stupid] y’all were yesterday??? I don’t understand why some of you don’t calm down to think things through before peddling very unnecessary narratives. Rubbish…”
A seventh said: “Ahhhh [sic], as expected, there is a very sensible [and] reasonable explanation for this. Hilarious [how] so many instantly used it as a stick to beat Ten Hag with, criticising his man-management skills based on made-up fantasy some grown adults that I would consider pretty level-headed.”
Somebody else simply wrote: “Again, things are not always as they seem, leave the kid alone, FFS.”
