Scott McTominay has gone from strength to strength since he left Manchester United to join Napoli.
Manchester United made the decision in 2024 to sell Scott McTominay to Napoli for £25 million, which in hindsight, looks like a terrible deal for the Red Devils.

Where would he fit in? How much is he worth?
Over 75% of United supporters voted that they would like McTominay to return to Old Trafford, with 25% arguing that he is not what the club currently needs.
One reader wrote: “Scott McTominay coming home would be a great signing for us, especially when as expected Casimero leaves at the end of the season, different type of player I know but come on United he shouldn’t have gone in the first place, he was only sold as it’s 100% profit and Ugarte would be ok to sign, and look how good that went.”
Another added: “Perfect trusted replacement for midfield gap to be caused due to Casemiro departure – no brainer tried tested & Scott is Man Utd throughout.”
However, others made the argument that it would not be the right move: “He loves life in Naples, and we’ve already established he’s more like Bruno than he’s like Casemiro. That’s not the profile we need. Let him enjoy at Napoli.”
“Scott is an attacking midfielder, he is not a ball winner, if caseimro leaves we need a ball winning central midfielder. Scott will give you loads going forward,” Another reader wrote.
