Summer signing Matheus Cunha has hit the ground running during Manchester United’s pre-season training.
Manchester United made a quick start to the summer transfer window by striking a £62.5 million deal for Matheus Cunha in early June.
The Red Devils triggered the Brazilian’s release clause at Wolves to bring him to Manchester, and it has been revealed that Cunha has been given the No.10 in place of Marcus Rashford.
United’s pre-season training started at the beginning of the week and Matheus Cunha was spotted at Carrington on the very first day, with the 26-year-old given his first opportunity to meet his new teammates.

Earlier in the summer, United fans were impressed by Cunha during his performance for Brazil, and now supporters have gotten their first glimpse at the Brazilian in a United shirt.
United published training footage of Ruben Amorim’s side at Carrington, and fans were quick to pick up on just how sharp Cunha looked.
Cunha’s incredible ball-carrying ability was on full show, and supporters were quick to point it out.
One fan said: “See Cunha driving in the middle. Something we lack last season”
Another posted: “Cunha showing them how to handle the ball under pressure”
Another added: “Cunha’s ball carrying is so phenomenal.”
Cunha was also compared to a legendary Brazilian: “Cunha drives with the ball like Kaka”
One fan claimed: “We’ve got a real gem on our hands” after watching Cunha in action.
Matheus Cunha can be a megastar at Man United
Ineos moved quickly to sign Cunha this summer after his sensational season at Wolves last season, and Ruben Amorim will hope he can take his game to a new level at Old Trafford.
Cunha has already impressed at Carrington with reports that his finishing ability has already wowed teammates and staff.
Last season, Amorim urged United to be more clinical, and it seems the addition of Cunha will help to solve that problem.

Surrounded by the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Amad Diallo and Joshua Zirkzee, Cunha will hope to equal or even better his tally of 17 goals last season.
Cunha could make his debut against Leeds United, when the Red Devils have their first pre-season friendly on July 19.
