Jadon Sancho is set to complete his loan move from Manchester United to Borussia Dortmund.
Jadon Sancho is in Germany to seal his loan switch away from Manchester United, BILD report.
The move sees Sancho return to his former club for the rest of the season, with no permanent clause in the deal.
Manchester United will be contributing towards Sancho’s wages during his time at the club, with this move getting the wantaway winger out of Carrington, having not kicked a ball since August.

Jadon Sancho return to Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund did not necessarily expect to have the opportunity to bring back Jadon Sancho in 2024, when they sold him to Manchester United in 2021.
Although, given their ongoing battle with him behind the scenes, you wonder if they suspected there was a small possibility the winger could flame out at Old Trafford.
The German club will see this as a big win, and probably have a cheeky social media post lined up to celebrate his return. They will be looking at the glass half-full view of Sancho’s return, hoping he can help their season and bring some cheer to the club.
Lothar Matthaus unimpressed with Sancho move
Borussia Dortmund are not having a strong season. After missing out on the Bundesliga title on the final day last year, they rank in fifth place this season, 15 points off first.
German legend Lothar Matthaus has questioned the wisdom of the deal, pointing out that he is the opposite of what they need. Dortmund have conceded only three fewer goals this season than the team ranked 19th in the Bundesliga, Koln.
Matthaus was quoted by Ruhr 24: “At BVB, too much emphasis was placed on offensive players at the expense of defense. That’s where I see the big weak point at Dortmund and the reason for the mediocre Bundesliga first half of the season.
“Six defensive players for four positions are not enough, especially since Hummels and Süle both cannot play through a season. Jadon Sancho is currently making improvements to the offensive instead of doing something at the back.”
Matthaus also points out that Sancho has a lot to prove, having failed to impress at Manchester United.
He said: “If Sancho achieves the form he had during his time at Dortmund, then he would be a win. But to do that he also has to show that he is more mature than we recently saw in Manchester.”
Sancho has not played since August, and has not started a competitive game of football since May.
He failed to earn a starting spot at United early in the season and did not make the squad to face Arsenal, with manager Erik ten Hag citing poor training performance.
Sancho denied this, via social media, hitting out at his manager. He refused to apologise and has not made a matchday squad since, training alone and leaving his teammates in the lurch.
A loan to Dortmund can rekindle his career, while United simply hope it will raise his transfer value for a permanent sale, after his reputation sunk to make him a high-risk gamble for any club.
A return to his former side may work, but Matthaus raises a valuable point, that he might be what Dortmund don’t need, from a squad profile perspective. But then, if Dortmund end up conceding a lot of goals, they will have to attack to make it up, and that might end up suiting Sancho.
