Kobbie Mainoo has been shortlisted for the Premier League Young Player of the Season award for 2025/26.
Despite starting the season poorly, Manchester United are sitting third in the Premier League with two matches remaining.
The season objective has been achieved by securing a Champions League spot, but there could be more to celebrate, individually, for several key figures at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season award, while Michael Carrick is a contender for the Manager of the Season award. United also have a nominee listed for the Young Player of the Season accolade.

Kobbie Mainoo shortlisted for Premier League Young Player of the Season award
Mainoo is among the eight contenders for the Premier League Young Player of the Season award.
United’s 21-year-old didn’t start a Premier League match for the first half of the season because he was being overlooked by Ruben Amorim. That changed in January when Michael Carrick was appointed interim head coach.
It looked like Mainoo was given a new lease of life, playing alongside Casemiro and contributing heavily to United’s improved run of form under Carrick.
Mainoo’s form led to an England recall, and he will be hoping to make the squad for the 2026 World Cup.
The England international has made 26 appearances in the Premier League, with 14 of those being starts.
Mainoo is shortlisted alongside seven other players — Man City’s Rayan Cherki and Nico O’Reilly, Bournemouth’s Alex Scott and Junior Kroupi, Newcastle’s Lewis Hall, West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes and Brentford’s Michael Kayode.
United fans are invited to vote for Mainoo on the official Premier League website.
