Just days after winning the main Football Writers’ Association award, Bruno Fernandes has been listed among the eight nominees for the Premier League Player of the Season award.
Manchester United achieved its season objective by securing Champions League qualification, but there will be no silverware apart from some individual awards.
Bruno Fernandes won the FWA’s Footballer of the Year award last week, with the United captain getting the recognition he deserves as he remains one of the best midfielders in the world.
The 31-year-old has been tipped to win the Premier League Player of the Season award for the first time since signing for United in 2020. Fernandes has moved a step closer to that with his latest nomination.

Fernandes has been one of United’s most consistent performers this season, as well as being a driving force behind the team’s improvement under Carrick.
With two games left to play, Fernandes is one assist away from matching the record held by Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry, with 19 to his name.
On top of that, Fernandes has scored eight goals in the Premier League and will be keen to end the season on a high by securing third place.
