Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel has made his feelings perfectly clear over his former club being linked with a Manchester United player under manager Erik ten Hag.
Erik ten Hag has seen a massive clearout to his first-team squad this summer, including Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane leaving at the end of last season.
Manchester United have offloaded the likes of Mason Greenwood to Marseille, Willy Kambwala to Villarreal and Donny van de Beek to Girona.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka also left United and signed for West Ham, while Facundo Pellistri and Alvaro Fernandez completed moves to Panathinaikos and Benfica respectively.
Scott McTominay is set to be the latest high-profile player to leave Old Trafford this summer after United agreed a fee of around £25.4m with Serie A side Napoli.
Alongside the departure of several players, Ten Hag has seen his first-team United squad bolstered with multiple new signings under the Ineos regime.
Netherlands striker Joshua Zirkzee and French defender Leny Yoro arrived at United in July, while the club signed Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui this month.

Mikel on Chelsea’s interest in Man Utd star
Speaking on The Obi One Podcast, John Obi Mikel dropped his verdict on Chelsea being heavily linked with Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.
Jadon Sancho returned to Old Trafford in the summer after a six-month loan spell at Borussia Dortmund after his falling out with United boss Erik ten Hag.
The 24-year-old United winger and Ten Hag appeared to put their differences aside this summer and Sancho was reintroduced into the Red Devils first team.
Sancho took part in United’s pre-season tour this summer, but the United player’s long-term future at Old Trafford remains uncertain.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Chelsea could potentially use former Manchester City star Raheem Sterling as part of a swap deal for out-of-favour winger Sancho.
Speaking on Sancho, Mikel said: “If we can get him through the door at Chelsea, I’d be very, very happy.
“He’s a fantastic player. I think on that side of the pitch, we’re very strong.
“Listen, if we can get a player like Jadon, of course, you’d be happy to have him. If that happens, I’d be very happy.”
Ten Hag and Sancho at Man Utd
Jadon Sancho has made one appearance for United this season after he came off the bench and missed a penalty in the Community Shield defeat earlier this month.
The former England international missed the 1-0 Premier League win over Fulham at Old Trafford and the 2-1 defeat to Brighton at the Amex.
Ten Hag revealed that Sancho was absent from the Fulham match due to fitness issues, but the United boss left him out of his squad for the Brighton clash.
Speaking to TNT Sports ahead of the Brighton defeat, Ten Hag said: “He’s here [at the stadium], but I had a choice to make.
“We had some issues, we need a full squad. He’s [Sancho] one of them. He has to compete in his position.
“Game-by-game we will have a look. We need two players in every position because it is a long season.”
