Atletico Madrid and Manchester United are due to face each other in the Champions League last 16 later this month.
The clash will bring Portugal international teammates Joao Felix, Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo up against each other, with Diogo Dalot in the mix too.
United will need to avoid the second half lapses in confidence which have impacted them against Middlesbrough and Burnley to make the last eight.
Speaking to the Athletic, Felix has talked up Bruno and Ronaldo, who will be key if United are to fashion a run deep into the Champions League this year.
“It is very good to play against your friends. It is always fun, like we are playing in the garden,” said Felix.
“With Bruno, we exchanged messages when the draw was made. Bruno is a very, very good player. It is very easy to play with him.
“When he has the ball, he always chooses the best option, to give you a chance to score. That is why he gets a lot of assists.
“Cristiano is a role model for all of us in the national team, so he gives us a lot of good advice, and we like to listen.”
Felix was linked with United before his £113 million (BBC) move to Atletico in July 2019 and goes into the game with question marks over his future.
Spanish newspaper AS report he has asked to leave the club and he shares the same agent as Ronaldo and Bruno – Jorge Mendes.
The tie does give Felix a chance to put himself in the shop window, especially if he managed to outshine Ronaldo and put Atletico into the quarter-finals.
That said, Ronaldo has scored in every Champions League game he has played this season and dragged United into the knockout rounds single-handedly.
He will be looking to perform more heroics, especially now that the competition represents United’s only remaining chance of a trophy this season.
