Jadon Sancho has sent a heartfelt message to one of his Borussia Dortmund teammates after the Manchester United loanee marked his return to the club.
The 23-year-old United winger sealed his return to the Westfalenstadion this week after he was frozen out of the Red Devils’ first team under manager Erik ten Hag.
Dortmund paid £3m to sign Sancho on loan and committed to a further £3.4m in add-ons, with the German side covering a large portion of the United player’s wages.
Sancho, who hasn’t played for United since last August, welcomed his return to the German club and opted to wear the No 10 shirt for his second spell at Dortmund.
The former England international linked up with his new Dortmund teammates and made his second appearance for the Bundesliga outfit on Saturday.
Sancho’s message to one Dortmund player
Sancho was included in Dortmund’s squad for the Bundesliga clash against Darmstadt and the United loanee took his place on the bench.
The ex-Three Lions winger replaced Jamie Bynoe-Gittens in the second half and Sancho later set up Marco Reus for Dortmund’s second of the contest.
Following Dortmund’s 3-0 win against Darmstadt, both current and former United players responded to Sancho’s second-half cameo for Dortmund.
United legend Gary Neville was among those who offered his immediate reaction to Sancho picking up an assist in Dortmund’s victory away from home.
Sancho took to Instagram Stories and sent a message to Reus, who he played alongside during his impressive first spell at Dortmund.
The former England player shared the message alongside a post featuring him celebrating with Reus, with Sancho’s teammate reposting it on his Instagram Story.
“Some things never change, bro,” Sancho wrote.

Dortmund secured an important three points in their race for Champions League qualification, with the German club currently fifth in the Bundesliga table.
Edin Terzic’s men are three points behind fourth-place RB Leipzig after 17 league matches this season.
Reus took to Instagram and welcomed Dortmund’s result against Darmstadt, with the German side keeping hot on the heels of Leipzig in the race for the top four.
“Good start into 2024,” he wrote on Instagram to his 15m followers.
Sancho wasted no time in reacting to Reus’ post, with the United loanee posting a fingers crossed emoji alongside a heart emoji.
