Jadon Sancho, of course, gets an assist on his return to Borussia Dortmund whilst on loan from Manchester United.

It was inevitable, wasn’t it? After all the sheer nonsense that had surrounded Jadon Sancho at Old Trafford, it was only fitting that he’d link up on his return with former teammate and Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus to register his first assist since May 25th 2023.

Sancho only played 35 minutes for the Black and Yellow but made an instant impact as he saw his side win 3-0 against SV Darmstadt.

A great start for the Manchester United loanee, who has impressed the footballing world.

Luke Shaw to Jadon Sancho

After registering his first assist back in the Bundesliga, Sancho took to Instagram to post an image of him and the man who made the moment happen, German icon Reus.

Comments started flooding in from numerous footballers, congratulating the 23-year-old on his return to the game.

The most notable came from current Manchester United first-team star, Luke Shaw. He sent Sancho a four-word message, which read:

‘Love that my bro,’ with a love heart emoji.

Gary Neville also took to X to react to the English winger’s performance.

The world congratulates Jadon Sancho

Alongside Shaw, a whole host of footballers left adoring comments for Sancho, including fellow Manchester United loanee Donny van de Beek and former Red Devil, Jesse Lingard.

No doubt this cameo will have Erik ten Hag sweating ever so slightly.

Sancho was shunned from Carrington following the infamous spat with the Dutch manager after the Arsenal fixture and hasn’t played in red since. These were his first minutes since then and he made them count.

The £73m man is only on loan till the end of the season, but it remains seriously unclear as to whether he’ll ever actually return to the frame at Old Trafford. Nevertheless, a good start for him back in Germany.
