Manchester United’s win over Liverpool was so big that even Jadon Sancho was paying attention to it.
Jadon Sancho effectively quit on this Manchester United team earlier in the season when he refused to make amends with manager Erik ten Hag.
He was sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund at the first possible opportunity, where his form has begun to pick up over the last couple of matches.
Perhaps this has improved his spirits, because Sancho was back on social media showing his support for a Manchester United teammate after the team’s FA Cup quarter-final win.

Manchester United beat Liverpool
Manchester United’s previous win against Liverpool was in August 2022, Erik ten Hag’s first competitive victory as manager.
Jadon Sancho scored the opening goal in that game, a 2-1 win. This time around, United’s victory was even more dramatic.
After the score was 2-2 at full-time, United won 4-3 in extra-time, with Amad netting a 120th minute winner.
Scott McTominay, Antony and Marcus Rashford had scored United’s other goals.
Sancho hails ‘world class’ Rashford
Jadon Sancho is not the only player to experience a difficult season. In different ways, Marcus Rashford’s has been challenging, struggling to replicate his form last season.
Rashford missed a late chance to win the game 3-2 against Liverpool in this game, before bouncing back to net a vital equaliser in extra-time to tie the game 3-3.
Following United’s win, Rashford posted a celebratory message on social media, which read: “NIGHTS LIKE THIS!”, hailing the unbeatable experience of a Stretford End winner against a rival.
Rashford’s pal Sancho responded, with a two-word message, reading, ‘World class’, lauding Rashford.

Whatever Sancho’s feelings towards Manchester United, he is clearly happy for Marcus Rashford.
This was Rashford’s eighth goal in all competitions this season, a long way short of his 30 last season, but he is not giving up. Unlike Sancho.
