Jadon Sancho moved to Borussia Dortmund on loan in January from Manchester United.

Sancho became one of 10 Manchester United players to secure a loan move in the 23/24 season, with the £73m winger returning to the Bundesliga side that kick-started his career.

His first game back was a success. He got an assist and even managed to secure a place in the German ‘Team of the Week‘ in the process.

The Black and Yellow played again on Saturday, with Jadon Sancho featuring from the off. So how did he play?

How Jadon Sancho played vs Koln

With Sancho having been out of the frame for so long at Old Trafford, Manchester United fans were curious about how the 23-year-old would perform. Well, he had another fantastic game against Koln.

Dortmund put on a show away from home, as they beat FC Koln 4-0. Sancho started from the off, and put in another note-worthy performance in Germany.

Sancho’s undeniably highlight of the game was skipping past two Koln defenders with ease, and then being tripped up to win his side a penalty. Very reminiscent of the Sancho of old.

The winger looked a lot more like himself for the entire fixture. He was body-feinting players, taking on his man and, overall, looking dangerous in attacking phases.

He did not score or assist. The goals came from Niclas Fullkrug, Youssoufa Moukoko and a Manchester United-linked Donyell Malen double.

He played a total of 66 minutes before being substituted, which is probably due to his fitness levels currently lacking.

He also had a great game stats-wise. You can check out some of his best below.

Sancho has a familiar face from his time at Carrington playing alongside him in Marcel Sabitzer. Erik ten Hag acquired him on loan last season, but the deal was never made permanent.

He also featured in the 4-0 victory, with the 29-year-old featuring heavily for the German outfit this season.

Was it a mistake to not sign Sabitzer on a permanent?
