Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has explained the reason he posted an edited photo after Sunday’s 4-2 win against rivals Leeds United.
United’s number five opened the scoring at a hostile Elland Road with a towering header from a Luke Shaw cross.
The England internationals combined to score the Reds’ first goal from a corner in the top-flight this season. It only took 139 attempts but we got there in the end.
It was the former Leicester City man’s second goal of the season which came at a time where the noise surrounding his credentials to be Manchester United’s captain intensifies.

But the world’s most expensive defender responded in the best possible way to silence the critics.
Still buzzing the morning after United’s big win against their rivals, Maguire couldn’t resist mocking his ‘good mate’.
The 28-year-old posted on Twitter an edited picture with his friend being in front of the Elland Road crowd for which Maguire celebrated scoring the opener.
If you look closely there is a face super-imposed to the front of the crowd, which had confused supporters.
Harry Maguire and United have to kick on

Heading into Wednesday’s Champions League first-leg at Atletico Madrid following back-to-back Premier League wins, the confidence will be building in the United dressing room.
But after facing Watford at Old Trafford on Saturday, Ralf Rangnick’s side are set to face Manchester City, Tottenham, Liverpool, Leicester and Everton in the league, as well as the second-leg against Diego Simeone’s men.
The season has entered its crucial phase where there is very little margin for error, given our pursuit to finish in the all important fourth spot.
United cannot afford to rest on their laurels after a couple of wins, now is the time to kick on and build further momentum ahead of a daunting run of fixtures.

Aside from a win against a Spurs side that had no desire to fight for Nuno Espirito Santo, the Red Devils only picked up a point in the reverse fixtures against our other upcoming five Premier League opponents.
There is cause for optimism given how we responded to being clawed back to 2-2 yesterday, but there is also cause for caution.
Hopefully Rangnick’s side continue to show a corner has been turned with an impressive performance in the reigning La Liga champions’ backyard on Wednesday.
