It has been reported by the Daily Mirror that Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo are at loggerheads over the Manchester United captaincy.
They claim that Ronaldo is in line to take the armband from the England international, who has struggled for form this season.

But the defender, 28, has taken to Twitter to hit back at the rumours ahead of United’s clash with bitter rivals Leeds this weekend.
Marcus Rashford took similar action earlier this week when BILD’s Christian Falk claimed on Twitter there was a divide between the British players at the club and Ronaldo.
The examples of Rashford and Maguire are the ideal way to shut these kind of claims down.
It can be best to just ignore them but, United’s players are perfectly entitled to stand up for themselves as gossip and rumours continue to swirl even after a win.

It is to be hoped that United can build on the win over Brighton and create some confidence, form and momentum.
The only way they are going to do that is by sticking together and Ronaldo himself appeared to post a message which addressed the Rashford rumours too.
Ronaldo generates more chatter than any other player on the planet and he is used to the noise surrounding his every move.
That has been the backdrop for his career since his first spell at Old Trafford and he continues to find the back of the net with regularity.
Rashford and Maguire need to improve their performances on the pitch but they deserve credit for coming out and shutting down reports of squad discontent.
