Gabby Agbonlahor reacted to a meme that compared him with Marcus Rashford after the Manchester United star completed a move to Aston Villa on Sunday.
Marcus Rashford finally left Old Trafford after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim and signed for Aston Villa on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Villa’s deal for the 27-year-old Manchester United forward includes an option to buy for £40m, with the club reportedly paying the majority of Rashford’s wages.
The Premier League club did not pay a loan fee for the transfer, with Rashford now offered the opportunity to revive his career away from United.
United manager Ruben Amorim dropped Rashford for the Red Devils’ 2-1 Premier League comeback win against Manchester City at the Etihad last December.
The 40-year-old former Sporting CP boss wanted to see more from the United star, with Rashford even admitting that his future could take him away from Old Trafford.
Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and AC Milan were all linked with Rashford, but a move for the player failed to materialise in the January transfer window.

Agbonlahor reacts to Rashford comparison
Marcus Rashford is under contract with Manchester United until 2028, but the England international’s future at Old Trafford is all but certain to be over.
Ruben Amorim had previously left the door open for Rashford to prove him wrong and to fight for his place in the first-team squad after he dropped him.
However, Rashford had not made a single appearance for United since the 2-1 comeback win against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League last December.
Gabby Agbonlahor posted on Instagram a meme of Marcus Rashford looking into a mirror and seeing a reflection of the Aston Villa legend.
The meme was captioned with “the past” and “the present” above the image and Agbonlahor playfully ‘welcomed’ Rashford to Villa Park.
The 38-year-old talkSPORT pundit wrote: “The internet needs to chill! Who did this!
“Anyway, welcome to a big club playing champions league [sic] football Marcus!”
Posting in the comments of his own post, Agbonlahor added: “Stay away from china [sic] town.”
Laura Woods, who previously worked with Agbonlahor at talkSPORT, wasted no time reacting to the former Villa star’s post about Rashford.
“Ffs [sic],” the popular TV presenter wrote, adding a laughing emoji.
Rashford breaks silence after Villa transfer
Speaking to VillaTV, Rashford insisted that he is only at the club on a “short-term” basis and is keen to “rediscover” and “improve” himself as a player.
“It’s a club that’s in a good position in the league, and they’re pushing to get higher,” he said, as per Aston Villa’s official website.
“Still in the Champions League, a good, ambitious manager and great talent in the squad.
“I’ve had to choose somewhere where I feel my style of football is suited to and can help them and help me rediscover and improve as a player.
“Obviously, it’s only short-term I’m here, so I want to make the most of my time here, and the only way to do that is by using my attributes and my skill set to help the team.”
