Manchester United fans have slammed the performances of two players after the Red Devils suffered a 2-1 Premier League defeat to Fulham at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Erik ten Hag’s men suffered their first defeat of 2024 after Manchester United won four of their last five Premier League matches.
The Red Devils were undefeated in seven matches across all competitions prior to Fulham inflicting a big blow on United’s Premier League top-four ambitions.
Calvin Bassey broke the deadlock in the second half at Old Trafford before Harry Maguire cancelled out Fulham’s opener in the 89th minute.
However, Marco Silva’s men ensured they captured all three Premier League points after Alex Iwobi put the ball past United No 1 Andre Onana in injury time.
United’s defeat to Fulham has left Erik ten Hag’s men eight points adrift from fourth-place Aston Villa, who beat Nottingham Forest 4-2 at Villa Park today.

Fernandes and Rashford fail to impress for Man Utd
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was forced to shake up his frontline for the Fulham clash at Old Trafford after Rasmus Hojlund was ruled out due to injury.
Marcus Rashford was deployed up front for United in the absence of Rasmus Hojlund, who could miss a run of fixtures for the Red Devils because of his injury.
Bruno Fernandes started behind Marcus Rashford, with Alejandro Garnacho out on the left and Omari Forson on the right in his first Premier League start for United.
Alejandro Garnacho was lively for United in the defeat to Fulham and was arguably the Red Devils’ best attacker during the full 90 minutes at Old Trafford.
However, Rashford failed to impress with his performance and offered very little in attack for United, with the Red Devils sorely missing Hojlund’s influence on the pitch.
Bruno Fernandes, much like Rashford, made little difference for United and the 29-year-old Portugal midfielder was slammed by fans for his overall performance.

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, were furious with the performances of Fernandes and Rashford against Fulham.
Rashford has been criticised this season over his disappointing run of form and the England star was accused of dropping an “all-time stinker” at Old Trafford today.
Other United fans blasted Fernandes for being the “worst player” on the pitch for the Red Devils, with another supporter saying the club captain was “invisible.”
“Bruno Fernandes was the worst player on that pitch today, disgraceful performance. I don’t even rate Rashford [enough] to even speak on him,” one fan said.
While a second wrote: “Rashford and Bruno have been so, so poor today, FFS.”
Another posted: “Bruno Fernandes once again invisible. Rashford with an all-time stinker. […] All the senior players [let] us down yet again!”
“People think Bruno [and] Rashford are irreplaceable,” a fourth added.
Someone else commented: “I’m not even sorry to whoever this will hurt but we cannot build next season with Bruno Fernandes [and] Marcus Rashford starting games week in, week out.”
A sixth X user tweeted: “What have Rashford [and] Bruno done to be allowed [to] play a full game?”
And another fan suggested: “How Bruno [and] Rashford play every minute of every game I’ll never know.”
