Fearful Manchester United fans have vented their frustrations on social media after in-form Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund has been ruled out through injury.
Rasmus Hojlund has been in the form of his life at Manchester United after scoring eight times in his last eight matches across all competitions this season.
The 21-year-old Denmark striker has been in a rich vein of form in recent months and found the back of the net in his last six consecutive Premier League matches.
Hojlund, who was signed from Atalanta, initially struggled to score in the Premier League and went his first 14 matches without finding the back of the net.
The United star has turned the tide back in his favour and has been in red-hot form, having scored a brace inside 10 minutes against Luton Town last Sunday.

Man Utd confirm Hojlund injury
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will now be without Rasmus Hojlund ahead of the Red Devils’ Premier League clash against Fulham at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The Premier League club confirmed that Danish forward Hojlund had suffered a muscle injury and would not be available for selection against Fulham.
United fans were dealt a further blow after it was revealed that the former Atalanta man is likely to be out for the next “two to three weeks.”
“Rasmus Hojlund will miss Manchester United’s Premier League game against Fulham on Saturday due to a muscle injury,” reads the statement on Manchester United’s official website.
“It is expected to keep him out for two to three weeks.”
Hojlund’s injury means he is likely to miss the FA Cup fifth-round clash against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday at City Ground.
The Denmark international faces a race to recover from his injury in time for United’s away trip to Manchester City for the Premier League showdown on 3rd March.
Hojlund could even be a doubt for the Premier League match against Everton at Old Trafford on 9th March.
The Denmark striker could also miss the Sheffield United clash at Old Trafford on 16th March if he is sidelined for the full three weeks.
Man Utd fans react to Hojlund’s injury
United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, raised their concerns over losing Hojlund to injury ahead of the City match next week.
The Red Devils have not suffered defeat since the start of 2024 and United are currently unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions.
Ten Hag’s men have won their last four consecutive Premier League matches in their pursuit for a top-four finish, with Hojlund scoring in all four fixtures.
“Hojlund gonna miss the match vs City in a week, meaning our front three is probably [Alejandro] Garnacho, [Marcus] Rashford and Antony. I hate football,” one fan posted.
Another added: “Rasmus Hojlund’s injury came at the worst time, man, we play City next Sunday.”
“We have Manchester City in a week’s time now. No, Hojlund. No,” a third tweeted.
Someone else commented: “FFS. No [Lisandro] Martinez, [Luke] Shaw and probably no Hojlund vs City on 3rd March. The amount of injuries we’ve had this season is a joke.”
A fifth wrote: “Just when things start clicking for Hojlund he gets injured. No Luke Shaw. No Martinez. We play City in two weeks. Can’t even hope for a draw. This club makes sure that the fans go through the rough.”
While a sixth said: “[Two to three] weeks is not the end of the world, we should be able to beat Fulham without Hojlund and we were losing to City anyway. It’s the cup tie I’m worried about.”
And a seventh stated: “Just imagining we won’t have Hojlund, Martinez and Shaw vs City next week and I’m already scared of what they’ll do to us.”
