After recently suffering their 10th league defeat, Manchester United are in the midst of a mid-season crisis.
Ruben Amorim has been at the helm for just two months, but the 39-year-old has already overseen more losses than victories.
The Red Devils sit 13th in the Premier League table, just 10 points from safety.

United’s latest defeat unsurprisingly came against Brighton, who rolled out convincing 3-1 winners at Old Trafford last weekend.
In the wake of the defeat, Amorim unleashed fury inside the dressing room and smashed a television. He then addressed the media and labelled his team “the worst in the club’s history”.
However, despite the shocking revelations, the United manager’s anger issues are nothing new.

Ruben Amorim has history of anger management
Amorim’s very hands-on approach to management is reminiscent of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Although the consequences haven’t been as severe, Amorim’s recent outburst would’ve cast fans’ memories back to the days of Fergie kicking a boot at David Beckham.
While some may not agree this approach has a place in the modern game, Amorim, by his own admission, “will never change”.

And according to the Telegraph, the Portuguese boss has addressed his issues with anger by seeing a psychologist.
Amorim’s friend and former teammate Bruno Simao has also spoken out about the 39-year-old’s short fuse.
Hot but unnerved
Even though the United boss has a short fuse and can ‘explode’ in fits of rage, according to Simao, he never appears to lose his ‘nerve’.
“Honestly, I’ve never felt that he struggled to control his nerves,” Simao said.
“At the beginning of his career, he was very emotional – he would explode a lot, but not in a bad way, not with the players, but in the heat of the moment and all that. But I’ve always thought he had a strong mental and psychological foundation.
“And that’s why I’ve always said that his communication skills are incredible. He knows every moment of the game, he knows how to get into the player’s head and win the group’s trust.”
Amorim’s mentality makes him a fiery character, both on the touchline and in the dressing room, but given their struggles, maybe a touch of anger is just what this United side needs.
On the flip side, even though some fans may allow Amorim to lose his cool after defeat, there will be concerns his attitude does not unsettle players and cause a divide behind the scenes.
Next up for United is Rangers. The Red Devils will welcome their Scottish rivals to Old Trafford for an important Europa League tie on Thursday evening.
Given the side’s performances and his recent outburst, pressure will be on Amorim to pick up all three points.
