David de Gea is the man of the moment after a fantastic last minute penalty save against West Ham.
This was De Gea’s first penalty save since 2016, and it was especially poignant after the Europa League final, in which he conceded all 11 in the shootout.
United’s players celebrated wildly at the final whistle, with the bench coming on to congratulate the goalkeeper.

Eric Bailly was among them and he was seen getting a lift off the pitch from De Gea.
Bailly sent a message out to De Gea, writing, ‘You made our day!’.
Well done De Gea
United’s goalkeeper is well liked and the players were clearly delighted to see him save the penalty.
Not just for the circumstances of the game, but because of what it will have meant to him, after the spotlight on his penalty record.
Juan Mata, Fred, Raphael Varane and Diogo Dalot all congratulated him, as did former United players Rafael da Silva and Odion Ighalo.

Solskjaer impressed
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke after the game and praised De Gea’s contribution and work rate.
Solskjaer told the club website: “You know he’s a top keeper, everyone loves having him behind them.
“He’s come back focused, really determined, with a desire to show who he is. It’s his 11th season and we’ve never stopped believing in him, and it’s important that he also knows that.
“He came in pre-season and said: ‘I know I’m supposed to be rested but I want to come back early’ and that just shows his determination.”
