Diogo Dalot sent a message to fans on Instagram upon his return to Manchester United training on Friday.
The new season is quickly approaching and more of Manchester United’s senior stars are reporting for duty ahead of next weekend’s Community Shield with Manchester City.
Erik ten Hag has taken a 29-man squad to the USA for a pre-season tour, with the final game coming against Liverpool in the early hours of Sunday morning, but several of his biggest stars have not made the trip.
Several United players went far in Euro 2024 and Copa America this summer and needed the extra weeks to rest before another gruelling campaign begins.
Though Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw are still away, four players reported to Carrington on Friday to start their fitness work.
Alejandro Garnacho, who won Copa America with Argentina, Altay Bayindir and Portuguese duo Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot all returned to training.
Now Dalot has sent a message on Instagram, making it clear how happy he is to be back.

Diogo Dalot is buzzing to be back in training
Dalot, who helped Portugal to a quarter-final finish in Euro 2024 where France eliminated them, posted a series of photos of him in action on Instagram.
In the caption, he wrote: “Home again. Let’s do this! @manchester United,” accompanied with a love heart emoji.
Key players return just in time for the Community Shield
Though the stakes aren’t incredibly high when United meet their neighbours at Wembley on August 10, getting another win over City would certainly be a massive boost ahead of the new season.
It’s not been the most confidence-inspiring pre-season in terms of results and the dreaded return of the injury plague appears to be a bad omen.
Rasmus Hojlund is out for six weeks with a hamstring problem while new signing Leny Yoro will have to wait three months to make his debut after injuring his metatarsal.
Marcus Rashford and Antony have already picked up knocks, too, but the attacking pair have at least already returned to training.
With important players already succumbing to injury, it’s a good job United are getting important players back now.
Fernandes, Dalot and Garnacho are all likely to be involved against City while Martinez, Mainoo and Shaw are set to return early next week and could make the squad.
If Ten Hag gets his way, he might even have a new signing by Saturday, too, with it being reported that Noussair Mazraoui is set to have his medical ahead of signing for the club on Tuesday.
