Bryan Mbeumo has had a successful debut season for Manchester United, scoring goals but also embedding himself within the squad.

Compared to most signings in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era, Bryan Mbeumo has been a success, despite his best coming before AFCON.

Mbeumo’s goal against Nottingham Forest means he has officially hit the 10 Premier League goal mark, which is a very strong platform for next season to be even better.

United’s 2025 summer transfer window was a huge success, with Mbeumo a big part of this. Now, he has revealed the close relationships he has built off the pitch.

Bryan Mbeumo names his two closest friends at Manchester United

Ahead of United’s final game of the season, Mbeumo has been speaking to Sky Sports, in which he was asked which players he has the closest friendship with.

“Really good relationship with him (Amad)”, Mbeumo explained about his right-wing teammate.

“Yeah, I take him as a little brother, you know. I try to help him as well. And yeah, we get along well on and off the pitch.”

Mbeumo was then asked about Leny Yoro, whom he named as another

“Yeah. No, obviously he’s obviously a good guy. And yeah, same as Amad, you know, I try to take him as a little brother as well. Just trying to give him advice and good friends with him as well.”

Mbeumo and Amad, in particular, are known to have a strong relationship both on and off the pitch.

Mbeumo will be even better next season

Season one is almost in the books for Bryan Mbeumo, and he can be pleased with how things have gone so far.

11 goals in all competitions, alongside three assists.

But next season is when he will truly arrive at Old Trafford as a star.

The reason for that is that Mbeumo isn’t going to the World Cup this summer, considering Cameroon failed to qualify.

Mbeumo will get a full pre-season for United, meaning he should be ready to start firing straight away, fitter, quicker, and the expectations will be doubled.

United need Mbeumo to be hitting 20 goals in all competitions, and his 11 in this reduced game campaign suggests he absolutely can achieve this.
