Bryan Mbeumo has explained the approach that he has made to sharing the pitch with Bruno Fernandes and two other Manchester United teammates in his debut season.
The 26-year-old Cameroon international left Brentford last summer in a big-money move and impressed early in his Old Trafford playing spell this season.
Bryan Mbeumo has netted 10 times and registered three assists in 32 matches across all competitions for Manchester United in the 2025-26 campaign.
However, the former Brentford ace is currently on an 11-match goalscoring drought in the Premier League after a drop in form under Michael Carrick in recent months.

What do you think is the reason behind Bryan Mbeumo’s recent dip in form?
Bryan Mbeumo on his dynamic with Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko at Man Utd
Both Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha arrived at Old Trafford in the same transfer window as Bryan Mbeumo after Ineos’ major spending spree in 2025.
Mbeumo, who was signed for an initial £65m fee last July, made an appearance on Manchester United’s official podcast and opened up on his debut season.
The Man Utd and Cameroon forward was asked about his time at Brentford and when he once shared an attacking dynamic with Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma.
Mbeumo was asked if he felt the approach with Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma was different to his dynamic with Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Fernandes.
“Obviously, it’s different because it’s a different type of players,” he said on the Inside Carrington podcast.
“Yeah, different, a bit different [from] everything, but it doesn’t really change how you work and how you want to improve in this kind of relationship.
“Because at the end of the day, you do everything you can to recreate the best you can in the game.”

Bryan Mbeumo on building chemistry with Man Utd teammates Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko
Mbeumo has been alternating between leading the frontline as the lone forward and playing out on the wing under United legend Michael Carrick since January.
The former Bees attacker impressed early under Carrick after he netted three times in four Premier League matches at the start of the interim head coach’s reign.
Mbeumo has insisted that his dynamic with Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko has been built on an important foundation.
“So, you start with the talking in and out of the pitch, and after, yeah, just try to link up in training, technical drills and finishing positions,” he continued.
United’s transfer fee for Mbeumo could rise to £71m in total after the Red Devils agreed to £6m in add-ons as part of their deal to sign him from Brentford.
