Pundit Rio Ferdinand has raved about the influential role of Senne Lammens after Ineos brought the Manchester United No 1 to England last summer.
Senne Lammens established himself as Manchester United’s No 1 in his debut season at Old Trafford after he was snapped up from Royal Antwerp.
Ineos paid Royal Antwerp an initial £18.1m transfer fee and Lammens left the Belgian Pro League and made his way to the Premier League last September.
United were in desperate need to overhaul their No 1 option for the 2025-26 campaign after the struggles of Andre Onana at Old Trafford.

Rio Ferdinand on Senne Lammens after Man Utd’s 0-0 Premier League draw against Sunderland
Senne Lammens has made 31 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils in the current season and the Belgian ace has kept seven clean sheets.
The 23-year-old Belgium international chalked up his latest clean sheet on Saturday after Manchester United’s 0-0 draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Lammens produced a solid performance for Man Utd in their encounter with Sunderland, including key saves that prevented the Red Devils from going behind.
Speaking on his podcast, Rio Ferdinand admitted that he is a big fan of the “calmness” that the former Royal Antwerp ace has brought to the United backline.
“The calmness that he’s brought, the amount of saves that he’s made and the difference-making that he’s made with this team, I don’t think you can put a number on that,” he said on Rio Ferdinand Presents.
“He’s been superb and he’s young. That’s what I love about him, he’s young, he’s still going to be getting more experiences and he’s only going to get better from now on.”

Why Rio Ferdinand thinks Senne Lammens’ Man Utd playing spell could last a decade at minimum
Lammens’ influence has been felt at Old Trafford and the Belgium and Man Utd shot-stopper has been hailed as one of the best signings made last summer.
United legend Ferdinand feels that Lammens has put down a solid foundation for himself in his debut campaign and has backed him to become even better for his side.
“I don’t think it matters how good or bad he plays, I think he’ll be the same level – very level-headed and he won’t get out of his pram too much about anything,” he continued.
“I think he’s one for the next 10 years at Manchester United, he’s going to be the No 1.
“He’s someone again, got a definite great foundation to start building from what he’s shown this season.”
United will now return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon, with the Red Devils hosting Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford for a 12:30pm kick-off time.
