Bruno Fernandes sets Premier League record with assist vs Everton

Bruno Fernandes provided his third assist of the season as Manchester United took on Everton. It was his first in the Premier League this campaign.

Fernandes’ well timed ball in for Anthony Martial was his 20th Premier League assist for the club since joining in January 2020.

Add this to his 30 Premier League goals and Fernandes now has 50 goal contributions in all.

These have come in 58 league games, an astounding record of nearly a goal per match.

Per Statman Dave this is the fastest any midfield player has reached 50 goal contributions in Premier League history.

So much more to come

Fernandes is only just getting started and there are more milestones to hit. He will be hoping to get to 50 league goals eventually.

In all competitions Fernandes has 44 goals, more than the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Carlos Tevez and Louis Saha all managed.

Fernandes has 29 assists in all competitions for United since joining the club, making it a total of 73 goal contributions in all competitions.

United are struggling to click in attack, scoring just three goals in the last four games.

This is an issue United have to fix, and Fernandes is part of the solution rather than a problem. His numbers will only further inflate as United’s attack eventually improves.
