Manchester United are going through a rough patch right now with the team stuck in a loop of draws over the past fortnight.
Bruno Fernandes looked dejected as the game with Southampton progressed. It would have been understandable if he wanted to switch off from football for the weekend after the disappointing result.
Instead Fernandes has kept with the game he loves, paying attention to Portugal teammate William Carvalho’s successful weekend with Real Betis.

Carvalho, 29, scored one goal and provided one assist as Betis beat Levante 4-2 away on Sunday in La Liga. Betis now sit third in the table, above both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Fernandes sent Carvalho a message branding him ‘absurd’, writing, ‘What you’re playing is absurd’, complimenting his pal, who he also played alongside at Sporting, before the midfielder finally left in 2018.

United once tried to sign Carvalho
William Carvalho was strongly linked with becoming a Manchester United player back in the 2013/14 season.
The MEN reported a £35 million deal was in place, with a potential move set to ‘address the need for a strong anchorman in United’s midfield.’
The move was put on ice when David Moyes was fired, and replacement Louis van Gaal did not share the same enthusiasm for Carvalho. The same was the case with Toni Kroos, somewhat embarrassingly for United.
It took Carvalho a further four years to make his move away from Sporting, and his move to Real Betis is currently working out well for him.
United’s need for a defensive midfielder still remains, although at 29, Carvalho won’t be an option. Instead the club will be looking for a younger player, who hopefully is one who Bruno Fernandes appreciates in an equally happy manner.
