Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford will be representing Aston Villa for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
Marcus Rashford has sealed his loan move to Aston Villa, with both player and Manchester United getting a fresh start.
Rashford gave an interview in December in which he stated he wanted a new challenge, and has not played for the club since the Europa League win away at Plzen.
Ruben Amorim dropped Rashford for the derby for off-field issues but kept the door open for the forward. He became frustrated with the forward’s lack of willingness to fight for the club.

Marcus Rashford exit
Marcus Rashford has begun his new adventure at Aston Villa, where he can get back to playing football again, energized by a fresh start.
Rashford will also be playing in the Champions League, after Villa finished in the top four last season and progressed through to the knockout stages.
The now on-loan forward sent a message out on social media, thanking both clubs for getting the deal over the line.
Rashford sent a message out, which former United teammates Jadon Sancho, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and David de Gea all wished him well.
There was another message from former United coach Benni McCarthy, who worked closely with Rashford at Carrington.
McCarthy wrote: “All the best Young King”, while United teammate Alejandro Garnacho wrote, “All the best Rash!”

Marcus Rashford looking to recapture goals
Marcus Rashford scored 30 goals in the 2022/23 season, and striker coach Benni McCarthy took some of the credit for his work alongside him.
The pair then shared the blame in 2023/24, when Rashford scored only eight goals. This season Rashford had scored seven times for United before he was sidelined.
He will be hoping for a quick start at Villa, although that may depend on his fitness, with no game time for the best part of two months.
