Benjamin Sesko has picked out two standout Manchester United performers at Old Trafford in the 2025-26 campaign outside of Bruno Fernandes’ impactful season.
Bruno Fernandes entered a stunning run of form in the second half of the campaign after Michael Carrick’s key positional change for the 31-year-old midfielder.
The Manchester United captain was playing in the midfield pivot under Ruben Amorim before Michael Carrick shifted him to the No 10 role back in January.
Fernandes’ influence significantly increased and the United midfielder broke the Premier League assist record on the final day of the 2025-26 campaign.

Bruno Fernandes’ exploits at Old Trafford in the 2025-26 Premier League campaign earned the Manchester United star several different individual awards.
The United skipper scooped the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award and was named the FWA Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official TikTok page, Benjamin Sesko took part in a series of Q&As and he was asked to name his Player of the Season at United.
However, the 23-year-old Man Utd striker was not permitted to pick Fernandes, with Sesko settling on Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo for his final answer instead.
“I’ll give it to Bryan or Cunha,” he said.

Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo all impressed in their own way for Man Utd in the 2025-26 campaign
Sesko arrived in the same transfer window as both Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo after Ineos’ major spending spree under Ruben Amorim last summer.
The aforementioned United trio all ended the 2025-26 campaign by hitting double digits in their respective goalscoring figures in their debut season at Old Trafford.
Sesko netted 12 times in 32 matches, Cunha scored 10 times in 35 matches and Mbeumo found the back of the net on 12 occasions in 34 fixtures last season.
The Slovenia international, much like Fernandes, enjoyed an impactful second half of the 2025-26 campaign at Old Trafford after Michael Carrick’s January appointment.
Sesko found the back of the net seven times in 13 league matches under United legend Carrick, who has since permanently succeeded Amorim as Red Devils boss.
