Manchester United’s new strike force signed last summer are on the brink of making Premier League history.
In last summer’s transfer window, Ineos were focused on overhauling the attacking department at Manchester United.
Benjamin Sesko was signed for £66m to be United’s new first-choice striker, while Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha were brought in as Premier League-proven stars to flank him in a new front three.
Ineos will be feeling smug about their transfer business, with all three signings enjoying a strong debut season at Old Trafford.
Sum up Benjamin Sesko’s debut season for Manchester United in one word…

Sesko, Cunha, Mbeumo close to 10+ goals in debut season
Last month, Sesko scored his 10th Premier League goal in the 2-1 win over Brentford. He was set a goal target by Rio Ferdinand at the start of the campaign, and he has achieved it despite being in and out of the team.
With 12 goals in all competitions, it means that Sesko is United’s top scorer in 2025/26 with two games remaining. Mbeumo and Cunha are just behind with nine Premier League goals each.
As pointed out by Statman Dave, no three forwards have all scored 10+ goals in their debut season at a club.
If Mbeumo and Cunha score one more goal each in the final two matches of the season, then United’s new front three will make Premier League history.

Give us your verdict on Bryan Mbeumo’s 2025/26 season at Manchester United…
Bryan Mbeumo will have to end goal drought to break record
If United’s new front three are going to break the Premier League record, Mbeumo will have to step up to score his 10th league goal of the season.
Since returning from AFCON duty over the winter, Mbeumo has only scored three Premier League goals – the latest coming against Tottenham back in February.

Mbeumo’s form has dropped off, and as a result he has been rotated with Amad Diallo in the right wing position.
While Cunha has scored three goals in his last six league appearances, Mbeumo has not scored any in his last 11 outings.
