Avram Glazer tracked down by newspaper and asked if he will sell Manchester United

The disaster of the Super League fall out means pressure for the Glazers after they sullied Manchester United’s name by signing up for the project.

Joel Glazer was the Glazer brother who put his name to the proposals – and even made a public apology.

While he remains in hiding, one national newspaper did manage to track his brother Avram down.

When Avram and Joel are seen, it is often together. Both have to accept the burden of responsibility for one’s actions.

He is pictured below being quizzed by the Mirror’s US Editor Christopher Bucktin in his homeland.

The Mirror‘s report branded him ‘shameless’ and ‘unrepentant’ for refusing to apologise when asked to.

Pressure is growing

It makes sense to be optimistic over Avram’s response, when he quite easily could have said ‘no’, when asked if he would sell the club.

However, ‘no comment’ is probably just the disdainful reaction he would normally give surrounding business matters in an unprepared scenario like this.

He certainly looks uncomfortable, and won’t like the international pressure which has mounted due to the Super League fiasco.

US owners at Arsenal and Liverpool are also under scrutiny, and their control of three of England’s most decorated clubs has become an issue in the national spotlight.

The Glazers’ actions have seen them labelled as ‘buffoons’ in their own regional press in Florida this week.

And the ‘Red Knights’ group have also resurfaced with a list of demands, which include the Glazers reducing their shareholding.

Protests are expected on Saturday at Old Trafford, and a larger one ahead of the Liverpool game next Sunday.
