Manchester United’s Anthony Martial had another chance to impress for France on international duty on Sunday.
His lack of goals continued, with Martial’s international record standing now at one strike in 22 matches.
That’s not unlike his United form, in which he has netted in just one of his last 18 appearances.
His latest France performance was pretty good though, as you would hope against Kazakhstan, before it ended early. It just lacked a goal.

Martial provided the assist for France’s opener which was scored by Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.
He received a pass from Paul Pogba 30 yards out, and took the pass beautifully with a sublime first touch to take it away from an opponent.
Then he took a touch forward, and played the ball wide right into Dembele’s path, who was in space, and slotted the ball low into the net past the goalkeeper.
It was an excellent piece of play from Martial, demonstrating he can he an asset to any team, even if he is not scoring.
Martial had three shots, two of which were on target, but he did not find the net as France sauntered to a 2-0 victory.
Early end
Martial went down in pain after his studs got caught in the turf. GFFN speculated he could have sustained a knee injury.
The United striker did get up and appeared to be moving alright but he was substituted off soon afterwards.
Martial lasted just 58 minutes as he was substituted off as part of a triple change. Paul Pogba was among those also taken off.
Hopefully, Martial will be fit upon his return to Old Trafford, but he has another France date first.

Les Bleus take on Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday night in another away fixture. He will have to be passed fit to travel, or be sent back to United.
France have plenty of attacking options with Kylian Mbappe, Wissam Ben Yedder and Antoine Griezmann, so they could do without Martial.
The best case scenario is he gets sent back to United just as a precaution, so he can rest ahead of United’s next fixture against Brighton this coming Sunday.
