Manchester United have had to be patient after new signing Leny Yoro suffered an injury in his second pre-season match.
Manchester United’s USA tour may have been lucrative, yet it came at a cost. Along with Rasmus Hojlund, Leny Yoro suffered an injury in the first game in the States.
Yoro had to undergo surgery on a metatarsal injury, spiking the wave of optimism which came from his mid-July signing.
Now in early November, Leny Yoro is back in training at Carrington, stepping up his comeback.

Leny Yoro’s return to training has provided the team with a major boost, coming at a time of change for Manchester United.
Bruno Fernandes expressed his excitement at Yoro’s return, as did a former and perhaps future Manchester United player.
Yoro’s ‘New start’ message on Instagram elicited a response from England international midfielder Angel Gomes, who replied, ‘he’s back’.
Gomes played alongside Leny Yoro at Lille, and has talked up the centre-back in the past.
It’s possible the pair could reunite, with Gomes set to become a free agent in the summer and Manchester United interested in bringing him back to Old Trafford.
Leny Yoro return too late for Erik ten Hag
Leny Yoro’s return has come at the perfect time for incoming head coach Ruben Amorim, while interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy may even be able to give him a few minutes over the next two games.
The manager who signed him was Erik ten Hag, and Yoro’s return comes too late for the Dutchman, who only briefly got the chance to play him during pre-season.
Ten Hag was fired in late October after a poor start to the season, although it’s unlikely Yoro would have been able to change the direction of the team.
United’s problem has not been the defence, it has been in attack, with the team scoring a pathetic nine goals in 10 Premier League matches.
Even so, it is definitely a boost to have Yoro back, especially with United expected to play three centre-backs under Ruben Amorim.
