Manchester United were boosted in the lead-up to the Europa League clash against PAOK as Leny Yoro returned to full first-team training.

Ruud van Nistelrooy revealed the plan for Yoro’s return to action and while that may be a step-by-step process, it is going as per plan.

Yoro recently stepped up to individual training so this was the natural progression and next, he will be expecting to get some minutes off the bench.

That could come as soon as the game vs Leicester on November 10 as there’s a two-week international break after that for him to work further.

The Frenchman sent a message after his return to team training as the excitement of Man Utd fans is palpable-

Leny Yoro sends message on return to training

When United released clips of their training ahead of the PAOK clash, it caught everybody’s eye when Yoro was welcomed onto the pitch in almost like a guard of honour.

He ran through a lane of players as they congratulated him for making a successful return from a long-term injury which has delayed his debut.

He looked all smiles in training and with Ruben Amorim’s three-at-the-back system ready and waiting, the need for centre-backs will only increase.

In a twist of irony, the manager who signed him was never able to use his services but Yoro has sent a message which encapsulates the feeling of every fans right now.

The defender went on Instagram and uploaded three pictures of him in training, including coming out of the player lane and summed up the feeling in just two words.

“New start,” Yoro said, which can apply broadly to Manchester United as well with the change in manager and a new, permanent one coming soon.

Bruno Fernandes and more react to Leny Yoro’s message

Fernandes has been a constant beacon of support to Yoro as he stepped up his recovery from injury and it was no different here.

Fernandes reacted when Yoro returned to individual training and he was once again the top reply to this post with a succinct message.

The United captain reacted with a heart-eye emoji, radiating excitement about he debut of United’s most expensive summer signing.

Nearly all of Yoro’s teammates ‘liked’ the post while Rio Ferdinand continued his theme of being Yoro’s mentor in the comments.

Ferdinand memorably called Yoro on his unveiling and he also played a crucial role in convincing him to reject Real Madrid for Old Trafford.

The ex-United defender reacted to the post with a fire emoji and also commented from his official channel account, Rio Ferdinand Present, with a starry-eyed emoji.

It would be a surprise if he played vs PAOK but a cameo off the bench vs Leicester can’t be ruled out. If nothing else, it seems like a foregone conclusion that he’ll make his club debut alongside Ruben Amorim vs Ipswich.
