Manchester United winger Amad has now heaped praise on club captain Bruno Fernandes.
This season has seen Bruno Fernandes pull away as the league’s best player, staking his claim for the PFA Player of the Year award, despite Manchester United’s turmoil in the first half.
Fernandes has been United’s best player by a mile, creating 19 goals and scoring eight of his own, defying logic as he gets better despite his age.
Testament to his quality, Fernandes is regularly hailed by teammates and fellow professionals, with Amad the latest to heap praise onto his captain.

Amad hails Bruno Fernandes as Manchester United captain
Fernandes is praised every week by pundits, but his teammates’ verdicts are a lot more impactful.
Now, in an interview broadcast on Sky Sports News, Amad explained how brilliant he thinks Fernandes is.
“Bruno is Bruno. He’s the player that is our dream to play (with). He’s a big legend for me, and he’s been so good for the club since he arrived here in 2020.
“He’s a big example, a big leader, a big captain, he tries to help everyone, every young player who comes to the first team.
“I remember when I came here in 2021, my English wasn’t really good, but he tried to help me in Italian, because he speaks Italian, so he was the guy who was doing the translation for me. He’s the guy who is available for everyone.”
Continuing, Amad admitted that he and his teammates have to help Fernandes break the assist record this season.
“This season everyone can see how good he is, and we have to help him as a team to break that (assist) record.”

How many assists Bruno Fernandes needs to break the record
Amad has always been complimentary of Fernandes, which is hardly a shock considering how excellent the Portuguese midfielder is.
But his latest comments come ahead of a three-game spell in which history awaits Fernandes.
Fernandes is two assists off breaking the Premier League record, one off matching it, and with better finishing from teammates, he’d have already taken the crown.
Sitting on 19, Fernandes has three games to beat the record Thierry Henry set over 20 years ago.
Amad says the whole team need to help Fernandes achieve this and with this arguably the sole focus, its hard to imagine him not getting at least one more.
