Alejandro Garnacho and Dan Gore were both in agreement over the legendary former Manchester United player they wished they could have played alongside.
Dan Gore, who came through Manchester United’s youth academy, is currently out on loan at League One side Port Vale after completing his transfer last week.
The 19-year-old midfielder has made two senior appearances for United, with Gore coming off the bench in the 3-0 Carabao Cup win against Crystal Palace this season.
Gore also featured in the 3-2 comeback win against Aston Villa at Old Trafford, but the United youngster has struggled to establish himself in the Red Devils’ first team.
United manager Erik ten Hag will be hopeful that Gore’s time at Port Vale will secure him regular first-team minutes before his return to Old Trafford in the summer.
Alejandro Garnacho, on the other hand, has firmly established himself in the United first team under Ten Hag and has featured regularly for the Red Devils this season.
The 19-year-old United winger has made 29 appearances across all competitions in the current campaign and Garnacho has scored five times and picked up two assists.

Garnacho and Gore pick same United legend
Alejandro Garnacho and Dan Gore were contacted on Instagram by academyarena Utd and the pair were asked about the dream player they wanted to play alongside.
“Alright bro, for a new post, I’d love to know what former United player you wish you could’ve played with?” academyarena Utd asked Garnacho.
Garnacho responded to the message and named Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney as his pick, with Gore also naming the former Red Devils striker.
“Hello bro, yes probably Wayne Rooney,” Garnacho wrote.
Gore was also asked the same question as academyarena, along with saying that it was nice to see him in action in Port Vale’s 1-0 defeat to Portsmouth on Saturday.
Academyarena Utd on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, posted the exchange with both Gore and Garnacho alongside other responses from players.
Who did other United players pick?
United youth player Isak Hansen-Aaroen revealed his pick would be Angel Gomes, who now plays for Ligue 1 side Lille after leaving Old Trafford in 2020.
Maxi Oyedele, who is currently on loan at Forest Green Rovers, initially responded with “tough question” before selecting former United striker Robin van Persie.
United youngster Amir Ibragimov, much like Garnacho and Gore, revealed that his dream player to play alongside would be former United and England striker Rooney.
Red Devils youth product Finley McAllister, meanwhile, revealed that his pick would be none other than United legend Roy Keane.
