Manchester United prospect Dan Gore has clinched his move to League One side Port Vale.

The exodus of fringe players on loan is continuing at Manchester United, with young talent Dan Gore the latest to clinch his move away.

Unlike Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek, who Manchester United have sent out to try and increase their valuations for summer sales, the club has high hopes Gore will return first team ready next season.

Gore has made two appearances for Manchester United this season, but this move represents a chance to play regular football.

Port Vale manager on Dan Gore move

Dan Gore was presented as Port Vale player on Tuesday night, with the 19-year-old signing on loan until the end of the season.

His new manager Andy Crosby spoke to their club media when Gore was unveiled and spoke to the fact he was ‘absolutely delighted’ to get the deal done.

Crosby spoke highly of Gore, commenting: “Dan is a player that owns fantastic technical ability and the required competitiveness to his game to come in and immediately bolster the competition and options within our midfield.

“As well as his obvious qualities on the pitch, Dan possesses all of the non-negotiable personal qualities that are required to be a member of the squad here at Port Vale.

“He has a real desire to make the most of his opportunity here and to learn from the experienced players within our squad to push himself beyond his limits to become the very best version of himself.”

Dan Gore ready to start right away

Several Manchester United supporters would have been keen to see Gore get some playing time for the first team in the FA Cup against Newport County this coming weekend.

And perhaps there would have been minutes available, but Port Vale were clearly keen to get this deal wrapped up as soon as possible.

The League One side are in action this weekend at home to Portsmouth, before playing four games in the opening 13 days of February.

There will be plenty of opportunity available for Gore to try and make an impact, and he will be raring to go as he embarks on his first loan spell.
