Alejandro Garnacho and Casemiro were on the same wavelength after Manchester United defeated Athletic Club in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday evening.
Manchester United came from behind against Athletic Club and the Red Devils inflicted a 4-1 defeat on the La Liga outfit in the second-leg Europa League tie.
Ruben Amorim’s men have now punched their ticket to the 2025 Europa League final and United will face fellow Premier League side Tottenham on 21st May in Spain.
United held the advantage over Athletic Club after the Red Devils picked up a 3-0 win in the first-leg Europa League semi-final tie at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.
Athletic Club took the lead against United in the first half through Mikel Jauregizar before Mason Mount came off the bench in the second half and found the equaliser.
Casemiro added United’s second in the 79th minute before Rasmus Hojlund netted the Red Devils’ third against Athletic Club at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.

Both Alejandro Garnacho and Casemiro were in the Manchester United starting XI for the 4-1 win at Old Trafford in the Europa League tie against Athletic Club.
Garnacho saw out 63 minutes on Thursday evening before United manager Ruben Amorim withdrew him and replaced him with Amad Diallo in the second-leg match.
Casemiro put United 2-1 up on the night and signed off another effective performance only two minutes later after he was replaced by Kobbie Mainoo.
Garnacho took to Instagram and the 20-year-old Spain-born attacker could not hold back his excitement after Athletic Club were knocked out of the Europa League.
“MAY 21,” he simply wrote, referring to United’s Europa League final clash with Tottenham.
Casemiro, much like Garnacho, shared his enthusiasm about United’s 2025 Europa League final encounter with Tottenham at Athletic Club’s San Mames Stadium.
Posting on Instagram, the 33-year-old former Real Madrid star wrote: “See you in Bilbao, Reds!!!! [sic] Come on, United.”

Speaking after United’s latest triumph in Europe, Amorim admitted that he saw a lot of “weaknesses” from the Red Devils during the match against Athletic Club.
“It was a good result,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“If you look at both games, it was so much tougher than if you look at the result. We have so many weaknesses in the game and you can understand that in the game.
“But we are fighting, and we deserve, if you look at the two games, to be in the final.”
United and Tottenham’s Europa League final encounter will kick off at 8pm UK time on 21st May at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao.
