Premier League legend Alan Shearer spotlighted Benjamin Sesko during his powerful assessment of the Manchester United striker after the Burnley match on Wednesday.
Benjamin Sesko has not had an easy start to life in England, with the 22-year-old having to overcome a knee injury and an extended goalscoring drought.

The Manchester United summer signing opened his goalscoring account for the Premier League club last September in the 3-1 Premier League defeat to Brentford.
Sesko then scored in United’s 2-0 Premier League win over Sunderland at Old Trafford last October before his goalscoring drought began to manifest this season.
The Slovenia striker went his subsequent nine Premier League matches without finding the back of the net before breaking his drought on Wednesday evening.

What Alan Shearer spotted about Benjamin Sesko in Man Utd’s 2-2 Premier League draw against Burnley at Turf Moor
Benjamin Sesko led the frontline for Manchester United’s Premier League encounter against Burnley and the summer signing had a major impact on the contest.
United went 1-0 down against Burnley in the first half before Sesko netted the Red Devils’ equaliser in the 50th minute of the Premier League tie at Turf Moor.
Sesko would complete his brace only 10 minutes later and put United into a 2-1 lead on the night, only for Jaidon Anthony to score a crucial equaliser for Burnley.
Will Benjamin Sesko WIN the “Sesko vs Hojlund” debate?
Is there even a debate to be had or has he already won it?
Speaking on his podcast, Alan Shearer said that he was deeply impressed with the “movement” of the former RB Leipzig striker during his performance at Turf Moor.
“Sesko took his goals well, didn’t he? Thought his movement was excellent,” he explained on The Rest Is Football.
“His finishing was very good. Yeah, sort of needed to because it’s been a while.
“I guess for him going forward and for his confidence, that’ll do him, should do him the world of good.”
Benjamin Sesko has created a springboard to build much-needed momentum for his Man Utd spell
Sesko has only netted four times and registered an assist in 17 Premier League matches since his 2025 summer arrival from German outfit RB Leipzig.
The Red Devils striker had been Ruben Amorim’s key attacking option during the 40-year-old former United manager’s reign at the Premier League club.
However, Sesko’s inconsistency in the final third had left United fans frustrated at times after the huge expectations that were placed on his shoulders this season.
The Slovenia international’s performance against Burnley could be the much-needed spark that Sesko has needed to kickstart his United goalscoring run fully.
