Dutch agent Menno Groenveld admits he would love to hire Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood with the Getafe loanee a ‘top player’ who would ‘suit my agency’.

With his future uncertain beyond the current campaign, Mason Greenwood’s camp could be in for quite a busy summer.

Manchester United still have a decision to make about whether or not to bring the one-time England international back to Old Trafford. Should they opt to cut ties, there will be no shortage of suitors, clubs the size of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid reportedly taking an interest in a man who’s performances over in La Liga have offered a reminder of the genuinely supreme talent bubbling under the surface.

Mason Greenwood facing uncertain Man United future

Greenwood, per Transfermarkt, is currently represented by his relatives.

Menno Groenveld has opened the door for the Bradford-born 22-year-old to join his agency, however, should he fancy a change.

“That’s a player that suits my agency, I think,” Groenveld tells Voetbal Primeur.

“I think he is a top player, although you cannot sit back with him. You have to get to work. Of course, a lot has happened but, with a player like that, you can still make a difference. Then my input is also worth something.”

Groenveld largely represents players based in the Netherlands or from the Netherlands, such as Huddersfield Town’s former Heracles forward Delano Burgzorg and Feyenoord utility man Mees de Vit. Greenwood would, by some distance, become the most high-profile client in Groenveld’s stable.

Linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona

In 23 appearances, the Man United academy graduate has seven goals and five assists for a Getafe outfit well clear of the relegation zone with two-thirds of the season gone.

“Mason Greenwood was really causing us problems in the second half,” 2018 World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann said back in December after the Getafe talisman inspired a thrilling 3-3 draw with Atletico Madrid.

“We couldn’t stop him, and it cost us the game.”
